Teleportation 1.0 - Curbside drop-off at your office
When Brian Chesky founded Airbnb, he imagined what a "10-star experience" would be like and said that "A ten star check in would be The Beatles check in. In 1964. I'd get off the plane and there'd be 5,000 high school kids cheering my name welcoming me to the country. I'd get to the front yard of your house and there'd be a press conference for me."
At Boxcar, we think a "10-star commute" is one where you open a door in your house and inside there's a portal. You walk through it and are in your office.
That's it. No bells or whistles; no pampering or celebrations. The best commute is no commute at all. If you live in the suburbs and commute to the city you probably have a lot going on in your life. For you, the best experience is one that lets you focus on your personal life when you're home and your professional life when you're at work.
Boxcar hasn't perfected our teleportation technology yet (we keep misplacing all our dark matter). While we're working on that we're unveiling the next best alternative: curbside drop-off within 2 blocks of your office.
By now over 450 commuters in Madison and Chatham have ridden Boxcar. On average they rate our service 4.9 out of 5.0 stars.
In an effort to improve even more, we have conducted a thorough analysis of where our riders, as well as Morris County commuters, work.
Starting October 27th, Boxcar will roll out a new route to provide 90% of our frequent riders a curbside drop-off within 2-and-a-half-blocks of their midtown office.
Boxcar commuters choose whether to spend their time working or relaxing while aboard our motor coaches. Whether they watch shows on Wi-Fi or catch up on emails, riders arrive to work refreshed and ready to face the day ahead.
