In addition to providing coffee, snacks, and convenience items, you will also serve as a touch point for Boxcar services, such as grill cleaning, dry cleaning, and mobile auto detailing. Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Station Concierge to oversee the operations of our concession kiosk, including the facilitation of Boxcar services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in retail and has a knack for customer service. Boxcar will conduct all of your training.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the public face of Boxcar at the Ridgewood Train Station
- Open the kiosk promptly at 5:30 AM and ensure it is ready to serve customers by 5:45 AM
- Coordinate daily coffee/snack deliveries with local coffee supplier and bakery
- Answer customers’ questions about Boxcar’s offerings, from luxury bus service to parking and other services
- Help customers with the Boxcar app
- Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness within the kiosk and lounge area
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and multitask
- Punctuality and reliability are a must
- Availability to work the required hours without exception
- Preferable: Customer service and restaurant experience
Compensation:
- Starting pay is $25/hour plus tips, with opportunities for advancement within Boxcar to include full time salaried positions with equity compensation.
