Boxcar Blog

Starting tomorrow the Morris Meteor will originate in Morris Township's Convent Station, then proceed to Madison and Chatham as usual.  Boxcar is also adding a second bus to this route tomorrow, 45 minutes behind our early AM motor coach.

Evening Pickups:

• Departures at 5:20 pm and 6 pm from 115 W 45th St.

Ridership on our one bus has really picked up.  Here's a graph of our total ridership since restarting service in September.  With 100 rides across 8 routes, we had an average of 12.5 riders per bus.

As long as ridership keeps increasing we'll keep adding more route options for customers - let us know where you think even more is needed.

We'll be sending out a survey to our Cranford/Westfield riders tomorrow regarding restarting that route.  Stay on the lookout!

P.S. I took the below photo in April 2018, when we first considered launching a bus from Morris Township's Convent Station.  Three years later, we're finally launching a route here!  In case it's not clear, we're on a long-term mission to improve commuting.
